Global Impact Celebration 2020
Global Impact Celebration 2020

"For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries." 1 Corinthians 16:9

In 2020 we will focus on the phrase from this verse "a great and effective door," applying it to our local, national and international partnerships. Our GIC theme for 2020 is...

An OPEN door.

It’s almost time for Urbancrest’s annual Global Impact Celebration (GIC) missions conference, March 11-15, 2020! The theme of “An Open Door” will be key to everything we will be doing for the next two years. In 2020, we will focus specifically on 1 Corinthians 16:9: “For a great and effective door has been opened to me, and there are many adversaries.” When adversaries arise, you must take an honest assessment of your past to open up doors of promise for the future. Know that when you face these adversaries of life, you do not have to face them alone. For months, we’ve been anticipating and fervently praying for this conference – the planning, events, volunteer staff, and guests – and now it’s time to celebrate what the Lord is doing in missions around the world! We are asking God to help us stay faithful in praying, giving, going, and sending. We encourage you to use this prayer guide throughout all of 2020 to remember and pray for the missionaries and ministry partners that we support through the Faith Promise Fund. I pray this will be a transformational time in the life of our church!

Your Co-Laborer in the Lord,
Pastor Tom Pendergrass
Senior Pastor

What is GIC?

Global Impact Celebration

The Global Impact Celebration is our annual missions conference where we have the opportunity to meet and celebrate with our local, national, and international ministry partners. We learn how to be personally involved in missions by praying, supporting missionaries through our Faith Promise Fund, committing to serve in missions, and sending our own members to the mission field. Lastly, it's a time to celebrate our Lord and the mission work done for His glory.
